Job description

A large primary special needs school in the Wimbledon area, who area a forward thinking and innovative are seeking to appoint 2x Learning Support Assistants to start in ASAP in a long term full time role.

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant; you will work as a member of a class team. The school provide a safe and healthy environment and as the Learning Support Assistant you will support children's learning, working under the direction of the Teacher and the Senior Teaching Assistant and be involved in; providing personal care and supporting pupils with their emotional/physical needs.

The ideal SEN Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant should have the following;
* Motivation to work with children and young people
* Ability to work as part of a team and relate to both support staff, teaching staff and a range of other professionals
* Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
* Ability to contribute towards written observations and records of individual progress
* Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours; and attitudes to the use of authority and maintaining discipline
