Social workers, Residential workers and Youth workers required for SEN Teaching Assistant Role in Salford primary school.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client primary school in central Salford who are looking to appoint someone with the experience of youth work, residential work or social work and are looking to transition into a teaching assistant role within a primary school.

This primary school have a number of children who display challenging behaviours and are disruptive to the class environment as a result. These children display challenging behaviours due to a variety of reasons including;

  • Social and emotional aspects of learning
  • Attention deficit
  • Social emotional mental health
  • Looked after children backgrounds
  • Single parent backgrounds
  • Autism - verbal and non verbal

If you have a background in social work, residential work or youth work and are interested in working with children displaying challenging behaviours, this would be a great platform and opportunity for you.

  • 1:1 and small nurture group support
  • Supporting challenging behaviours
  • In class support and exclusion work
  • Working closely with the SENCO and inclusion lead
  • Full time role (Term Time Only)
  • £13,500 - £19,000 pro rata.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
