SEN Teaching Assistant Required

I am recruiting for permanent SEN Teaching Assistants who have an ambition for supporting children and young adults with Special Educational Needs. The school is a dynamic and positive environment to be in, both for the students and members of staff.

This school caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties/Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Based in Pontypool the school has superb public transport links and parking facilities for those who drive.

Experience working with students with special educational needs and willingness to undertake a DBS check with the school is a must.

Duties will include:

  • Working closely with pupils of SEN in groups or 1:1, maintaining and improving the social, emotional, physical and learning needs for pupils.
  • The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be able to tailor their approach in regards to communication, engagement, and distraction techniques to optimise learning and maximise comfort.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
