SEN Teaching Assistant Required

Job description

We are urgently looking for Teaching Assistants who has previously worked with students with SEN.

Here at Teaching Personnel we offer great opportunities to join friendly, supportive teams in a variety of welcoming schools. Ideally you will be Team-Teach trained and although this is not essential it would be preferred.

Our school in Guildford is a special school for boys aged 7-11 years who have social, emotional and mental health issues. Some may also have associated learning difficulties which have impacted on their ability to access the curriculum in mainstream schools. All pupils currently have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan.

At Teaching Personnel we require candidates to apply who are passionate in assisting children with SEN to access the curriculum. We are keen to recruit candidates who are proactive, empathetic, engaging and creative.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
