SEN Teaching Assistant required in September!

Job description

Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children or adults with special educational needs?

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a School based in the Blackburn area which caters for pupils with SEN including; PMLD, Physical Disabilities, Learning Difficulties, Autism and ADHD. The School caters specifically ofor pupils who struggle to remain in a mainstream setting and need additional support.

The role will be full time from September, however, it is likely that the School will want to see you on a voluntary trial day between now and the summer holidays to ascertain your suitability for the role. The School hours are 8.45am - 3.15pm and candidates will be expected to provide personal care when required.

The School is smaller than average and occasionally pupils in School may display challenging behaviours and therefore candidates with their Team Teach qualification will be favoured but it is not essential.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting children and/or adults with special educational needs and be willing to work on a full time basis with pupils who need additional support.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 60 per day
