SEN Teaching Assistant required for Primary School in Colindale

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an SEN specialist on the behalf of a reputable Primary School located in Colndale.

Location:

The school is located in Colindale and about a 15 minute walk from Colindale station, which is on the Northern line.

About The Role:

This is a full-time position to begin in January Your main duties will consist of:

- Supporting a pupil with a complex need such as; Autism, Global Learning Delay or ADHD

- Monitoring and tracking pupil progress

- Providing feedback to pupil, staff and parents

- Assisting with playtime and lunch time duty

About The School:

This is a multicultural, three-form entry school with over 40 different languages spoken. The school has a fantastic new building with a range of excellent facilities such as: an indoor heated swimming pool, a large all weather play pitch, an enclosed netball/basketball court, tennis court, soft play room, physiotherapy rooms and a large hall with a stage and sound and lighting system.

Also, the school has provisions for children with physical disabilities and an assessment centre for pre school children with complex needs.

Ideal Candidate:

- At least 1 year classroom based experience supporting special educational needs pupils

- Trained in one of the following would be ideal but not necessary: Team Teach, Autism Awareness Training, Makaton, PECs

- Personable, friendly and flexible

- Able to use initiative

- Good spoken and written English

- Have a valid DBS that is registered on the update service to willing to complete an application immediately.
