SEN Teaching Assistant required!

Job description

A SEN school in Yeovil that caters for pupils between the ages of 4 and 19 are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary basis from September.

This SEN school caters for pupils with a range of needs including communication, cognition and learning, sensory and social emotional and mental health.

They are looking for someone who can be flexible working with all age groups, it is essential you have experience working with children or adults who have special needs.

The following are desired:

  • Child Workforce DBS that is registered with the update service (we can help you with this if you do not already have one)
  • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
  • Team Teach/MAPA training
  • Qualifications/training related to SEN

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
