SEN Teaching Assistant - Oldham

Are you a Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching assistant looking for a new role within a secondary school in Oldham?

Teaching Personnel are working with one of our partner schools in the Oldham area, who are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full time position starting in September 2019. Our client school have a gap in the support staff, and wish for an enthusiastic, dedicated candidate to join their team.

Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant when registered with Teaching Personnel, you can expect:

  • Working in an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Oldham
  • Full time role from September 2019, initially on a one year placement
  • Opportunity to earn a permanent contract
  • Earn up to £1200 per week, paid in weekly arrears
  • Working in a supportive, inclusive and friendly school

Our client school has improved significantly over the last two years, through hard work and determination. Located just a short drive from the M60 motorway, it is easily accessible from a range of locations across Greater Manchester.

This role will suit candidates that have experience of working with individuals with a range of special educational needs. In particular, our client school would like candidates that are familiar with students that are dyslexic, have autism or display challenging behaviour.

Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be:

  • Assisting pupils on a 1:1 basis in an attempt to raise progress and attainment
  • Working with pupils in groups to support them in a range of subjects
  • Supporting the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of class work
  • Working with students with a variety of needs including learning, behaviour and SEN
