**SEN Teaching Assistant - Oldham (OL2) - ASAP start**
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Position
- Experience working with challenging behaviours essential
- Full Time Position, Immediate Start
This average sized Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with mild ADHD. The individual will need to have prior experience of working with children with behavioural difficulties and also be comfortable with working on a 1:1 basis.
This one form entry primary school prides itself on the care and support provided for pupils and is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant with a compassionate attitude to support this Key Stage 3 child, full time, throughout the school day. The school has a 'Good' Ofsted rating School and the Head teacher has worked hard to establish a leadership team full of energy, drive and ambition to improve outcomes for pupils.
Staff work well together and also have a good relationship with their pupils. The pupils are polite, confident and proud of their achievements. They have a lot of respect for each other and older pupils take their responsibilities seriously. Disadvantaged pupils and the most vulnerable pupils are supported well in school.
The pupil in need of the support will need to be supported throughout the day and
The school is looking for some one who has experience supporting children with SEN, specifically ADHD. The child can be easily distracted, and needs additional support to help access the curriculum and stay on task at all times. The child can show challenging behaviour occasionally so the ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to assisting teaching and will be able to build good working relationships.
To be considered for the position you must:
- Have a Level 3 qualification
- Have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Have a proactive approach to assisting teaching with an ability to respond well to challenging behaviour
- Team teach training desirable
