Job description

  • A 'GOOD' school.
  • Full time positions beginning in September 2018 until Easter half term 2019.
  • £270 - £350 per week (depending upon experience)
  • Experience supporting & working 1:1 with pupils who have SEN is required

Previous experience supporting pupils with ADHD & Autism would be an advantage.

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a 'GOOD' school based in Tameside, OL7. The school is looking for a devoted, knowledgeable & experienced SEN teaching assistant to join their school in their specialised SEN unit that's within the school premises.

This 2 form highly successful primary school has been praised for the effort is made with their pupil's unique qualities & nurturing skills, abilities & personalities. The head teacher has been praised by OFSTED for leading by example & setting high standards. The successful candidate will have recent experience of working with pupils with special education needs that require additional support, so the ideal candidate will not only be a fantastic teaching assistant, you will have experience of SEN pupils as well as having a lots of patience when working with challenging children. To be considered for the position you must

  • Have experience working with children within a mainstream or SEN school.
  • Have a proactive approach to assisting the teacher.
  • Own transport is desirable but the school is easily accessible using public transport.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
