SEN Teaching Assistant needed working with pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties

An 'Outstanding' SEN school is looking to hire a teaching assistant with previous experience working with pupils with autism and moderate learning difficulties to join in September.

The ideal candidate for this role would be an individual with previous experience working in an SEN setting or have completed a degree in Psychology

For this role we are looking for candidates with:

  • Degree in Psychology/ Sociology
  • Previous experience in SEN
  • Experience using PECS and Makaton
  • Willing to commit to 8.00 - 16:00pm
  • Motivate SEN pupils to reach their potential
  • Able to put pupils, parents and families at the heart of their decision making
  • Safeguarding trained or happy to complete safeguarding training

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
