Psychology graduates

Have you recently graduated with a degree in Psychology? Are you now looking for a role which is specifically related to your course?

I work closely with a SEN School in Berkshire that cater for 2-19 years olds with a mixture of additional needs. Those additional needs include ASC (Autism), SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties), PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities), SLCN (Speech & Language Communication Needs), Downs syndrome and HI/VI (Hearing and Visual Impairments). The School are looking for part time and full time teaching assistants from the new academic year.

Working at the School will involve working on a 1:1 and small group basis with children and young people with a variety of needs. The School look for people who will be able to aid and support in the young peoples learning, education and enrichment and will involve de-escalating and dealing with behaviours of an extreme nature in some schools.

The School is well supported with staff and will always have at least 2/3 teaching assistants and a class teacher for a class of 5-8 pupils. Some of the pupils at the Schools have the highest of needs so they need people who will be reliable, able to react quickly to certain situations and have a calming influence in the classroom.
