Teaching Personnel's SEN Teaching Assistants work with pupils who have various learning difficulties such as Autism and Profound Learning Difficulties.
SEN Teaching Assistants will work alongside key school staff to reduce levels of unauthorised absence and improve levels of attendance and behaviour. Our staff establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.
Your role would include undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/programmes, both on a 1-2-1 and small group basis, taking into consideration pupil learning styles.
SEN Teaching Assistants challenge and motivate, promoting and reinforcing self-esteem alongside providing levels of individual pastoral support to pupils.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support the pupils in the classroom, helping them to concentrate on work and making sure that noise levels are kept to a minimum. As a Teaching Assistant with Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to work in both Primary and Secondary schools and have the opportunity to undertake designated SEN training depending on the specific school (Team-Teach, Moving and Handling.) You will earn between GBP66.30 and GBP80 a day, depending on your experience and work roughly between the hours of 8:30 and 3:30pm 5 days a week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
