SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is the UK’s leading education recruitment agency – the Plymouth branch is recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to support in one of our secondary schools SEN department to start in as soon as possible.

This role will require an experienced TA, learning mentor, NQT or a professional who has worked with young adults who may have challenging behaviour, SEMH or ASC to support students aged between 11 and 16 years old who require additional support.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Recent experience supporting and working with children and young adults with special educational needs. This can be from a care or educational background
  • A nurturing and patient approach to learning and understanding.
  • Have a strong academic background. Grades A – C in Maths and English GCSE

Teaching Personnel offer competitive rates, WEEKLY PAY and do not use Umbrella companies to process your payment. Earn between GBP285 - GBP325 per week.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of GBP40, plus an annual subscription fee of GBP13 for the Update Service.
