Job description

We are urgently looking to appoint several new Specialist SEN Teaching Assistants to support within one of our local SEN Schools for pupil with ASC (autism), Sensory and Complex Needs.

These positions are to support pupils with statements in SEN who are academically progressing and looking to progress themselves and their education further from Primary to Secondary aged pupils.

These positions are to start immediately or in September, on a full or part-time basis and would suit anyone who has previous education or care experience.

If you meet the following criteria, please get in touch as soon as possible:

  • you MUST have a car due to the location of the School
  • you can work at least one day per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 - 15:30
  • you have previous education experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally ASC
  • you have a passion/desire to support pupils with SEN in their education and with their life skills

These positions are on a day to day, short-term, long-term and permanent basis (once a probation period has been passed).

You will be required to have a Child Workforce DBS on the update service, if you do not have one we can process for you as we are an authorised counter signatory and will go through full details in your interview. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
