Our Specialist SEN Branch at Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a highly motivated, flexible, and reliable additional learning needs support assistant, to support the Special Needs Service in Bridgend. We have a number of long term placements until the end of the academic year and into the next.

The Successful 121 Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience of or an interest in working with ALN pupils.
  • The ability to work closely with other staff members and other external agencies including the Special Needs Service and other professionals.
  • A good understanding of Additional Learning Needs either through a professional or personal capacity.

**Ideal candidates will have experience supporting children or adults with additional needs – this does not have to be in the education sector but those with personal experience with additional and from care backgrounds will be considered for the position too**

Prior to post allocation, each applicant will be asked to provide:

  • Copies of qualifications relevant to the post
  • Education Workforce Council Registration
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Right to Work documentation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
