Do you have experience supporting pupils with additional needs?

Are you looking for a new opportunity in an exceptional school in Manchester?

I am looking for an individual with experience supporting pupils with additional needs, either in a classroom or residential environment. This school is extremely supportive, and caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASC, PMLD, SLD and MLD. Pupils may also exhibit challenging behaviour, so experience with this is also desirable.

This role will involve supporting the teacher in providing a calm and nurturing classroom environment, which celebrates each pupils individuality whilst working towards common educational goals. The idea candidate will be resilient, excellent under pressure, and able to support creatively to promote engagement.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting adults and/or children with additional needs
  • Experience supporting adults and/or children who exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Child DBS on the update service
  • Flexible and creative support style
