Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference? Do you have experience supporting children with SEN? 

On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team at a South Sheffield School, Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a specialist Teaching Assistant who would be available on a full time basis (we can consider applications from part time staff members). We are ideally looking for someone who has experience working with children with ASC and managing challenging behaviour. 

The school is an Ofsted rated 'Good' School and benefits from a new school building with fresh new resources. The school has a supportive staff team, who are all working together to implement a new behaviour policy across the school. 

Our ideal SEN Teaching Assistant; 

  • Experienced supporting children with ASC/BESD 
  • Can work 121 or with small groups of children
  • Happy to deliver Nurture interventions or work with a child outside of the classroom 
  • Can manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management skills (MAPA or Team Teach would  be beneficial) 
  • Patient and understanding
  • Can motivate and inspire disenaged pupils
