SEN Teaching Assistant – Bolton (BL1)

SEN teaching assistant required at a Bolton based primary school in the BL1 area, starting in April until the end of the academic year 2022. The role will be supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who will be re-integrating back into mainstream education. 

Within this role you will be required to work closely on a 1:1 basis with pupil and also provide extra support within classes to other pupils when required to do so.

  • Full time SEN teaching assistant post
  • Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school
  • Average size school of 400 pupils in a nice area
  • Competitive pay (upto £450 a week)
  • SEN or school-based experience required

Both graduates or trained teaching assistants are encouraged to apply to this opportunity, however it is essential to hold previous experience working within mainstream primary schools or have transferable skills related to working within primary education. It is advantageous if you hold experience supporting pupils with SEN (Including ADHD, SEMH, Autism).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and vibrant team of support staff who are dedicated to ensuring all pupils receive the highest standard of teaching. You will be supported by a highly experienced SENCO who will brief you on your responsibilities each day.

School is easily accessible by public transport as it is located close to Bolton Town Centre and the Interchange. Furthermore, on-site is parking available for those with their own transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
