Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant at our secondary school in Islington, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting Teachers: Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons, providing one-on-one or small group support to students.

Student Support: Offer guidance and assistance to students, both academically and pastorally, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Resource Preparation: Prepare classroom materials and resources to aid in lesson delivery and student understanding.

Behavioural Support: Help maintain a respectful and disciplined classroom atmosphere, implementing the school's behaviour management policies.

Individualized Assistance: Provide targeted support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to education.

Administrative Tasks: Assist with record-keeping, assessment preparation, and other administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and adaptable approach to working with diverse student needs.
