Special Educational Needs Support Assistant required in the S72 area

A Headteacher at a 2 form entry Primary school in Barnsley, S72, is searching for an SEN specialist support assistant on a part-time basis. This role is to support two pupils with sever autism and learning delays each morning (8:30 - 12:30) Monday - Friday. 

If you are looking for a part-time position to begin after the half-term, initially until the Christmas break, with the potential to be extended to Easter. 

Our ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will;

  • Be experienced supporting children on the Autistic Spectrum
  • Be patient and sensitive 
  • Be able to motivate children who are disengaged from their learning 
  • Be able to support in core curriculum areas 
  • Have GCSE English/Maths (A-C)
