Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Teaching assistants in the Northampton area to support on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require additional support in the new academic year, September 2021. The young people in need of support require this due to their additional needs. The needs can vary but most commonly is ASC, SEMH and associated needs.
Your role as a Teaching Assistant would be to assist the class teacher and possibly support other TA’s in the room throughout the school day.
Your main duties will include helping pupils with their work, assistance in group work activities, providing an alternative environment for the pupils to work to promote the pupils progress and help them reach their full potential. All of this is then further supplemented with a high range of equipment targeted at SEN pupils including soft rooms and hydrotherapy pools. Which you as the Teaching Assistant would make use of to supply the best learning environment you can.
The schools require a Teaching assistant to match their ethos and values so the ideal candidate should have:
• A patient, calm and caring personality
• Experience of working with SEN environment particularly with experience severe or profound difficulties in learning including Autism
• A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with both pupils and parents
In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
