SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Teaching Assistants for a SEN school in Sturminster Newton. The School are in need of temporary, full time and part time teaching assistants to work with pupils with a variety of needs. Staff will be expected to support pupils with a range of needs including:

  • Autism
  • PMLD
  • Challenging Behaviour
  • MLD
  • SLD
  • Complex medical needs
  • We also work with a large number of SEN Schools, PRU's and alternative provisions in the Dorset/Somserset/Wiltshire area who have requirements for both short term and long-term cover so you would not be limited to just one school if you wanted to build on your existing experience.
  • As most of our roles do involve working with children that have additional needs, it is essential you have experience supporting individuals with special needs or challenging behaviour.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
