A really impressive SEN school in the Gravesend area are searching for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is experienced in working with pupils with SEN / PMLD.

They are looking for someone who is passionate, empathetic and has a real interest in progressing students’ learning.

The SEN Teaching Assistant could be working across any year group in the school, so experience across Primary school age groups would be preferred.

Typically, the pupils at this special at school for pupils aged 4-16 will have a diagnosis of Autism, and many will have additional complex needs / PMLD due to their physical disabilities as well.

The SEN Teaching Assistant, School and Role – 

The SEN Teaching Assistant will ideally have existing experience · Graduates would be ideal for this role, but not essential · Committed, welcoming of hard work, empathetic, calm, patient

Full-time, Long-term role · GBP60-GBP70 per day (dependant on experience and qualifications) The school provides excellent levels of care and education for pupils with profound, severe, and often complex learning difficulties, and will also have other associated needs including physical disabilities and medical conditions.

All pupils have an EHCP or a statement of special educational needs.

There will be some children who require assistance with personal care, basic medical assistance, and specialist equipment (such as hoists), so to apply for this role you MUST be happy to assist in these areas if required.
