A large secondary school in the south Manchester area looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant who is experienced in supporting young people with special educational needs. This experience may have come from a previous role in a school setting, care capacity or even a personal relationship with a family member for example. The school requires a Teaching Assistant who is able to support and work with a student with Autism in particular.
The successful TA will be working with specifically identified students supporting within the classroom and out of the classroom in a separate setting with opportunity to support on a dedicated basis. This is the ideal role for an experienced TA with the relevant SEN exposure and experience.
If you are confident in supporting students who have Autism, ADHD, Visual Impairment or Hearing Impairment or from an SEMH perspective, then apply now.
The school requires the successful Teaching Assistant to start with them as soon as possible with there being potential for a number of TAs being required. Given the size of the school and the number of identified students who require additional support, there will be a need for continued support of these students on an ongoing basis.
Key aspects of this SEN Teaching Assistant role:
- Support specific students with Autism,. ADHD and various learning difficulties (SEND)
- Full time Teaching Assistant position starting in September supporting the students with Autism
- Work on a 1:1 basis with a student within a secondary school environment
- Large secondary school based in the south Manchester area near to Didsbury
- Earning opportunity to GBP1400 per month for the successful TA
The school is located in the south Manchester area near to Didsbury and Fallowfield which is very easily accessible for those living in the Chorlton, Stretford area. For those situated in the Sale/Altrincham area, the school is also easily accessible and for those further afield – the M60 motorway is close nearby.
The school is a large secondary school, which is highly supportive as a result of the number of staff they have to provide the best teaching and support to all students. The students and staff are all aware of each other and the atmosphere around school is pleasant and understanding as a result of the supportive nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
