Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a two form entry primary school in the Whalley Range area of Manchester, M16, who are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their SEN provision on a full time basis. The position is to start ASAP and will be on going for the reaminder of the academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting with special education needs and will be looking to enhance their career with in a 'GOOD' Manchester primary school.

There are currently 16 children that work in the SEN provision. The children are aged between 4 and 8, and they all have different special educational needs. Each child spends part of their day in the SEN provision and the rest of the day with the full class. The ideal candidate would be based in the SEN provision but would also be expected to offer support to their key children in the classroom as well. This primary school was graded 'GOOD' in all areas with aspects of 'OUSTANDING' at its last OFSTED inspection. The head teacher and senior leaders in the school are looking for a dedicated practitioner, who has expectations or their children to join their team on a full time basis!

Applicants will have experience working with children with SEN and will be available immediately on a full time basis!

  • Have experience working with special educational needs
  • Have experience working with children in an educational capacity
  • Have a flexible working attitude and willingness to learn
