Our client college situated in the south Manchester area is looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to start with them as soon as possible but in time for the new spring term in January at the latest. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working with students who have additional needs including Autism, moderate learning difficulties and ADHD for example. The support will take within the classroom with the successful SEN Teaching Assistant to provide assistance and support to students lacking in confidence. Any prior experience of supporting students in this capacity will be highly beneficial.
Required on a full-time basis, any individuals who are interested in this SEN Teaching Assistant position, experienced in supporting young adults aged 16 – 18 years old with special educational needs are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.

- Full time SEN Teaching Assistant required: ASAP requirement for the remainder of the academic year
- Pay dependent upon experience; GBP10 per hour, equivalent of GBP65 – GBP70 per college day
- Support a variety of identified students with SEN requirements
- Applications highly encouraged from all previous Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers, Mentors and Graduates with interest in education based roles
This highly supportive and inclusive college located in Stockport has a great reputation in the Manchester area given its academic reputation of being a very good college. The college makes a specific effort to ensure all students are welcome and get the most out of each day they are being taught. They are therefore looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant that is gentle in their approach but can offer support to those students in the classroom as required.
The college being located in south Manchester is easily accessible for those who live in Tameside, Stockport and central Manchester given that the college is a short bus ride from these areas. The College is located in a fantastic building which is well resourced with a large on site car park for use by all staff.
