Full time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant required from May 2019 fixed term until the end of the academic year.

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a Bolton Secondary school in order to recruit a dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support faculty. If you haver previous experience working with SEN within an Education capacity and wish to support the teaching and learning then please see the details below.

  • Full time SEN Teaching Assistant required from May 2019.
  • Must have previous experience and qualifications working with Special Educational Needs.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school located in the outskirts of Bolton.
  • Earn up to £1300+ per month.

The School has just over 700 pupils on roll aged 11-16 and has consistently received positive feedback from Ofsted in all areas. Under the guidance of the Principal and Senior Leadership Teams the school continue to pioneer towards outstanding teaching and learning.

The responsibilities for the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for;

  • De-escalate, engage and support pupils with SEN which can include but not be limited to; ASC, ADH, SEMH etc.
  • Work alongside the SENCO to support identified pupils suffering from SEMH in accordance to Social Emotional and Mental Health policies.
  • Resilient, empathetic and pupil centred approach and the ability to work under high pressure situations.

Located less than a few miles away from the Bolton City Centre, the school is perfectly situated to be accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public Transport Links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the school.
