A central Stockport school are looking for a KS3/KS4 Religious Education teacher. You will cover a maternity period until December 2023, with a view to a permanent position after the initial role.

They want all their students, regardless of background or starting point to be educated, ready for the world of work and to be full developed human beings by the time they leave our care.  You must be able to help offer curriculum material that encourages freedom of thought and that promotes independence, encouraging the notion of service to wider society and tolerance of others.

In this Religious Education department they look to help the students explore the beliefs and practices of many of the world’s major religions.  Students consider how religion influences the way some people live their lives as well as the impact it can have on others. They examine sacred writings in detail, making them experts at critically analysing texts and at contemplating how interpretations may vary.

If you are looking to enhance your teaching experience, you will join a very well-structured department delighted to take you on board and support you in any way needed. Pay ranges from £28,000 all the way up to £43,685 depending on where you fall in the pay scale.

Regarding travelling to and from the school there are multiple ways to commute with the M60 merely 5 minutes away and Stockport bus station only 6 minutes away.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
