SEN Teaching Assistant

A diverse Primary School judged by Ofsted a being 'Good' in all areas, are looking for a strong and committed Teaching Assistant to support the learning of a child with a range of SEN.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a Reputable University
  • Passion for education and special needs and aspirations in Psychology or Education
  • Understanding of traits and needs of SEN children and willingness to learn more
  • Be able to handle responsibility and work with professionally within the school
  • Experience in a UK child related setting preferred
  • An interest or experience with Psychology, particularly with children
  • Have an individual creativity and can share ideas with their team

About the Role:

  • Supporting a range of children with SEN ranging from: Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties and low attainment
  • Following plans from the Class Teacher or SENco and directing support to specified children
  • Leading small group or 1:1 activities
  • 8:30am until 3:30pm hours, 5 days a week
  • Working only in term time
  • Earning between £55 to £65 per full day worked

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
