SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in their learning, development, and wellbeing, while working alongside experienced teachers and specialists.
You will be working at a vibrant and inclusive special school for children and young people aged 2 to 19 with complex learning difficulties and disabilities. Our dedicated team is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every pupil can thrive and reach their full potential.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with their learning across a range of subjects and activities.
- Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with personal care and support needs, where required.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure each child receives the best possible education and care.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and help them develop confidence, communication, and independence skills.

- Experienced in working with children or adults with SEND.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
