Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Full Time, starting in January

Southampton, Millbrook

We are recruiting a practitioner with a strong understanding of SEN to provide high-quality support to pupils with complex and varied needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  • Foster positive relationships and promote emotional well-being
  • Support behaviour by using nurturing and proactive strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and families

What We’re Looking For:

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children
  • Experience in SEN settings (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
