SEN Teaching Assistant in KS1- Oldham
Can you help to raise attainment levels in KS1? Are you passionate about supporting SEN pupils? Do you have experience supporting pupils in KS1? Do you want to gain more experience within a lovely Primary school?
Teaching Personnel is working with an Ofsted rated 'good' large primary school in the Oldham area to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Key Stage 1 teaching assistant. It is to start immediately and will be an ongoing long term supply position.
This is a supportive school for both staff and pupils, which has a very stimulating environment. Students are well behaved and make great progress due to the style of teaching throughout the school. The students are happy and are very eager to learn. The successful Key stage 1 teaching assistant must bring a positive attitude. The progress in reading and writing for students within this school is above average; therefore the school needs to appoint a teaching assistant that is going to help to continue this.
The SEN department is very supportive and has two facility rooms for KS1 and KS2, as well as a sensory room. The school has a vast amount of resources, such as BLAST and 'Now and Next' boards for behavior management, which help the students to flourish. Some members of staff are Team Teach trained, so a Team Teach qualification would be advantageous for this role.
The school is well known for their record of success and school improvement in the Oldham area. This role is a fantastic role if you are looking to progress in your teaching assistant career and you are eager to raise attainment levels in key stage 1.
To apply for this role applicants must:
- Be enthusiastic and committed
- Have a real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with
- Have experience working with Key stage 1 students
- Be available on a full time, long term basis
If you are interested in this role, please email your CV and covering letter Alternatively, if you have any further questions about this role, or any other roles, please call Grace in the Manchester North Primary Branch on 0161 242 1790.
