Job description

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant working within Hull? Are you flexible to work across Special Educational Needs Schools?

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of SEN schools who are seeking teaching assistants. As a teaching assistant you will be required to work on a 1:1 basis and as a general support for classes. Each class size is relatively small with around 8 - 12 pupils.

These schools have varying levels of additional needs so you will therefore be working with students who have one of the following:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Moderate, severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Extremely challenging behaviour

As a teaching assistant you will therefore be required to have:

  • An Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the Update Service (can apply through Teaching Personnel)
  • Ability to provide at least two references from your previous 6 years of employment
  • Experience working within an educational based setting OR experience supporting special educational needs
  • Flexibility to work across Hull and at least 3 days availability per week

Pay: £9 - £12 per hour

Location: Hull

Contract: Part time and full time available
