Job description

We are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant who is looking to support students within a hearing impairment unit in a mainstream primary school. This role would be full starting in September and will require for the successful applicant to work both inside the unit and school to support a variety of pupils. All pupils can sign basic BSL and thus the teaching assistant will need to have the ability to communicate in this way effectively. The school is well respected within the local area and is a nursery and infant school. At the forefront of the infant schools philosophy is providing a safe and caring environment for all pupils, where academic attainment and a supportive senior leadership team go hand in hand.

What we are looking for?

  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable children
  • Possess a Valid DBS certificate
  • Has EYFS or Nursery experience
  • Experience working with SEN pupils (essential)
  • Minimum Level 1 BSL Certificate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
