SEN Teaching Assistant (Farnham Common)

Job description

We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work for one of our excellent Secondary schools in Farnham Common. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students on a one to one basis and be supported by the school SENCO and Class Teacher. The school emphasises on giving training in social and life skills as well as creating a development of recreational and leisure skills, group work and community involvement.

You will be provided with past assessments of the children's particular needs and be reporting to the school SENCO.

Main Duties:

  • Supporting the teacher with delivering the National Curriculum
  • Carrying out observations, daily reports and activities
  • Supporting a pupil on a one to one basis
  • Setting up classes and differentiating activities in order to facilitate learning

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
