SEN - Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants / Support Assistants needed at a specialist school in Ely, Cambridgeshire

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a teaching assistant at a school in Ely which specialises in care and education for students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Additional Teaching Assistants are needed at this school to ensure they provide the best level of support for the students.

It is desirable, but not necessary, to have previous experience or training in any of the following areas to be suitable for this role. This includes personal experience as well.

  • Education experience
  • SEN experience or training
  • Behaviour Management experience or training
  • Personal Care experience
  • Sports or Psychology degree/experience/training
  • Support work Experience/training

Teaching Personnel also offer additional training opportunities such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness to ensure you are fully prepared and confident working with SEN.

It is required that you undergo a working interview to ensure your suitability for the students and school; but also for yourself.
