At Teaching Personnel, we have an opportunity to place a teaching assistant in an OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ rated school for pupils aged 11-16 with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. This school has excellent facilities to support the development of the children with classes usually having 6 to 10 pupils present. This supplemented with speech and language therapists, nurses and other outside agencies trying to provide the best education for young children with additional needs.. The school’s reputation is well regarded in the local community and the motives of the school are further recognized with its recent OFSTED rating being outstanding in all areas inspected. The school is situated in the Harwood area of Bolton, just off Crompton Way, with public transport links nearby.

The ideal candidate for this role would have:

• Experience of working with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties particularly those pupils with Autism.

• A calm and patient manner to support pupils through difficult times.

• Someone who is comfortable with outdoor play and support if needed.
