SEN Teaching Assistant Bedfordshire

A purpose built SEN school in Bedfordshire that cater predominantly for children with Moderate & Severe Learning Difficulties and Autism are currently seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work with their students to help them to reach their full potential. The school is Ofsted rated 'Good' and has a fantastic & supportive Senior Leadership Team.

No experience or official qualifications are necessary; however, it would be desirable if you had some experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs, perhaps from working in a health and social care environment. We often find that the best SEN Teaching Assistants are those with a background in community work or those that have worked with vulnerable children outside of a classroom.

The ideal candidate will need to…

  • Be engaging and interactive
  • Be open to dealing with students that will display challenging behaviour
  • Display a willingness to adapt and change to a fast-moving environment
  • Work alongside members of Senior Leadership Team such as the head-teacher and deputy head If you have previously worked with children in any capacity, either in a school or outside of the classroom then I would love to hear from you.
