SEN Teaching Assistant- 1:1 Autism - Oldham - January 2019 Start

A SEN Teaching Assistant is required in the Oldham area to work in a large Primary Academy School. The position is to start in January 2019 and will be a long term supply contract for the right person.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within this Ofsted rated 'good' school, which is part of a large multi academy trust. It is a very supportive primary school, where pupils and staff make great progress due to the stimulating environment. The successful practitioner will have recent experience working with SEN students, particularly students with autism. They will have a real desire to make a positive impact on their students.

The children in this school are known to be friendly and welcoming, which makes this school a lovely environment to work in. This primary school has a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum, which allows students to make good progress. There are high expectations for both the staff and the students. Due to the great teaching throughout the school, children are eager to learn new and exciting topics. Children get off to a great start when joining this school due to them settling in really well because of the warm and welcoming environment. The students in all year groups are very well behaved and are well aware of the behavior policies implemented within the school.

The school has a SEN inclusion unit for SEN students. The SEN unit is very supportive for the students and the staff. The students have access to sensory rooms, as well as extra support for all SEN students.
