SEN Teaching Assistaned Wamted - Graduates ideal!

A modern SEN School in Nuneaton are seeking degree level educated teaching assistants confident in academic support for a role starting asap and continuing into the new academic year in September.

They are looking for support staff to help support the children within a specialist school that provides outreach support for young people unable to access mainstream education. The school believe graduates in these areas have the engaging personality to help support these young people who (as a result of individual barriers) . In this role the graduate will be expected to work in school and to provide personalised support for the young people. The majority of the students have additional needs such as ASC, ADHD & SEMH

The ideal applicant for this role will have experience of working with children or young adults with with challenging behaviour and ability to manage challenging behaviour in a way which still produces positive outcomes. Applications from a Support Worker, Care, Youth Offenders will all be considered. Having any CPD such as Team-Teach, SCIPP, MAPA or other restraint training would be highly beneficial.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
