SEN Teaching Asisstant Job Plymouth

A school in Plymouth is looking for the right individual to take on the role of an SEN Teaching assistant.

In a learning support role, you will support students in the classroom who have physical and mental difficulties. You will be responsible as part of a team to offer care to the students, which will be demanding but rewarding.

Any applicants with experience in health and social care, Support work or any training in PECS/Makaton/BSL/MAPA/Team Teach/Moving and Handling are great.

With an Ofsted rating of Good, the school provides a quality focus on individual learning.

The Successful Candidate:

• Previous experience supporting children with PMLD/ASC in a mainstream or SEN school.
• Experience of working with small groups and 1:1
• Relevant qualifications
• Any training in PECS/Makaton/BSL/MAPA/Team Teach/Moving and Handling
• Desire to help with a positive attitude
• Calm and patient manner with your approach.
