SEN Teacher Vacancy Avaiable in Cardiff

Here at Teaching Personnel we are recruiting for a fully qualified teacher with SEN experience to work at a client SEN school based in Cardiff. You will be required to work with a KS2 class where the pupils may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. There will be no more than 10 pupils along with 2 specialist teaching assistants working mainly with a one to one. Candidates will be asked to keep pupils engaged and on task to meet their learning aims and objectives. Planning and light marking will also be required of you. Candidates will be asked to work between 8:30 - 3:15. Pay will be based on experience however, the scale usually ranges from £100.00 - £120.00 a day.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have gained qualified teaching status
  • Have experience working with SEN
  • Are registered with the education workforce council
  • Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
  • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
  • Team teach trained (desirable)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
