Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for fully established Teachers with SEN experience to work with a KS2 class at a client school based in Ebbw Vale. Candidates will be asked to work between 8:30-3:30. Being Team Teach trained is not essential but beneficial for the role.

Tasks may include:

  • Engaging pupils and keeping them on task
  • Helping them to meet their learning aims and objectives.
  • Daily trips to the shop or park when deescalating a situation.
  • Planning and marking may be included

Students:

The students that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour.

School:

This is a school with excellent supporting staff and a friendly environment. A great location with opportunity for both temporary and permanent roles available for the right candidates. There is a competitive rate of pay to be offered to candidates ranging from £85-£100 a day along with additional benefits.

The ideal candidate will:

    • Have gained qualified teaching status
    • Are registered with the education workforce council
    • Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
    • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
    • Have experience of working with SEN

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
