SEN Teacher Vacancies Available in Newport

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit fully established Teachers to work with a KS3 class at a client school based in Newport. The role requires candidates to keep pupils engaged throughout and on task to meet their learning aims and objectives. Planning and marking may also be required of you. Candidates will be expected to work between 8:30-3:30. We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £85.00-£100.00 a day, along with additional benefits.

The staff at the school are both friendly and supporting, the pupils that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have gained qualified teaching status
  • Have experience working with SEN (desirable)
  • Are registered with the education workforce council
  • Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
  • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
  • Team teach trained (desirable)
  • Manual Handling (desirable)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
