SEN Teacher / Special Needs Teacher - Scarborough

Job description

I am working with a number of specialist Schools across North Yorkshire; Pickering and Scarborough, who are seeking to recruit an SEN Teacher, to work with small groups of children, with complex and additional needs. The students require personalised learning plans, which you will be responsible for planning and tracking their progress. The pupils needs include learning difficulties, autism and social, emotional and behavioural needs, so if you have experience within this field, it would be advantageous.

The Schools we work with are graded as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by OFTSED in their most recent inspections. The Senior Leadership Teams are very supportive and motivating, promoting a positive learning environment.

As the ideal candidate you will need to hold the following qualifications and personality traits:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A Degree related to the Education Sector
  • Proven track record of increasing attainment levels via SATs boosters, Phonics sessions or by delivering Functional Skills
  • Be able to provide a stable 6 year career history and reference details
  • Be open minded and charismatic
  • Have a positive outlook and actively promote positive, hands on learning
