Teaching Personnel are in the process of recruiting SEN teachers to work at a SEN school in Scunthorpe to start after the October half term and working ideally full time, although part time might be considered as well.

Your roles and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing lessons with the needs of your pupils in mind and setting out the right work for them.
  • Assisting pupils who may struggle academically to achieve their full potential and move towards independence.
  • Handling challenging behaviour in a calm and collected way.
  • Teaching Personnel will always try to accommodate your life and thus the roles available can be either part-time or part-time.
  • Competitive rates of £110 - 140 per day (dependent on experience) paid on a weekly basis.

About you as the ideal candidate:

  • Hold UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • You will ideally have previously worked with SEN children within a specialist SEN setting, but other relevant experience will be considered and should not be a prohibition to applying.
  • You will have a clean driving license and your own transportation.
  • You will be committed to the safe guarding of children.

To be considered for this role, you will be required to:

  • Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Be able to provide two references from the last 6 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
