SEN Teacher Required

Job description

I am currently working with SEN Schools in the Tonbridge/Sevenoaks and North West Kent locations looking for fully qualified Teachers. The schools currently support a range of needs from SEMH, ASC & PMLD. Class sizes for these schools vary from 5-10 depending on the class needs and all are well supported with specialist SEN TAs.

The majority of the schools cover KS2 to KS5 and are looking for the following subjects:

  • Maths
  • English
  • Science
  • Music
  • PE
  • Land Based Studies/Horticulture
  • Food Technology

Effective classroom practice and an overriding commitment to pupil progress will be essential attributes and a commitment to meeting a wide range of pupil needs. Teaching that encompasses different learning styles through differentiation, personalisation and active engagement, will also be key aspects of the successful candidates practice.

Candidates will preferably have a proven record of good to outstanding classroom teaching and curriculum innovation in a special or mainstream school. This post would suit a Secondary teacher with a specialism in English. However, applications from NQTs with a commitment to working with pupils with Specials Needs will also be considered.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
