Job description

  • SEN Teacher required in Torbay.
  • ASAP or September 2018 start.
  • Full time & Part time hours available.

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an SEN Teacher to teach small classes of young people who have severe learning and behaviouror difficulties, sensory impairment, physical disabilities, ASD, PMLD and complex medical needs.

Each class has between 1-3 experienced and dedicated TA's to provide support to the students, some of which have their own 1:1 TA.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a proven track record working within a SEN environment and a 'can do' attitude!

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
