SEN Teacher required in Colne

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with an SEN School based in Colne which caters for pupils in KS3/4 who have additional needs including; Autism, Learning Difficulties, SEMH Difficulties, ODD and ADHD. Some of the pupils in School may display challenging behaviours and candidates must have strong classroom management skills and ideally hold their Team Teach qualification.

The School is smaller than average and class sizes are generally under 12 pupils per class. You will be working alongside at least two TA's in class and you will be expected to deliver a range of lessons. The pupils in School can often display challenging behaviours and candidates must be prepared to deliver 1:1 and small group intervention sessions.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and have experience differentiating lessons to suit the needs of different learners. The candidate must be looking for a long term role and the role will be full time.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 60 per day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
